Mas como dizer \u201cprimeiro lugar\u201d, \u201csegundo lugar\u201d, \u201cterceiro lugar\u201d e assim por diante em ingl\u00eas?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neste artigo vamos explicar de forma leve e pr\u00e1tica como funcionam essas posi\u00e7\u00f5es, em quais contextos usar e como memorizar todas elas, assim voc\u00ea n\u00e3o precisa travar na hora de falar.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ranking-quais-sao-as-posicoes-em-ingles\"><\/span><b>Ranking: quais s\u00e3o as posi\u00e7\u00f5es em ingl\u00eas?<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fluencypass.com\/ingles-online\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posi\u00e7\u00f5es em ingl\u00eas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> s\u00e3o expressas pelos n\u00fameros ordinais (ou ordinal numbers). Diferente dos n\u00fameros cardinais representados por one, two, three, etc., que servem para contar, os ordinais mostram a ordem: first (primeiro), second (segundo), third (terceiro), e assim por diante.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esses n\u00fameros s\u00e3o usados sempre que precisamos indicar posi\u00e7\u00e3o, ordem ou classifica\u00e7\u00e3o. A partir do 21 em diante, \u00e9 s\u00f3 juntar o n\u00famero da dezena + ordinal do final:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>21st \u2013 twenty-first (vig\u00e9simo primeiro)<\/i><\/b><b><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/b><b><i> 22nd \u2013 twenty-second (vig\u00e9simo segundo)<\/i><\/b><b><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/b><b><i> 23rd \u2013 twenty-third (vig\u00e9simo terceiro)<\/i><\/b><b><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/b><b><i> 24th \u2013 twenty-fourth (vig\u00e9simo quarto) &#8230;<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">E assim sucessivamente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mas ent\u00e3o, por que os ordinais em ingl\u00eas terminam em \u201cth\u201d?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se voc\u00ea prestou aten\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 aqui, provavelmente reparou que quase todas as posi\u00e7\u00f5es terminam em \u201cth\u201d: fourth, fifth, sixth, tenth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esse \u201cth\u201d \u00e9 um sufixo que vem<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.fluencypass.com\/curso-de-ingles-online\/?utm_medium=rock-convert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">do ingl\u00eas antigo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, usado para transformar n\u00fameros em adjetivos de ordem. \u00c9 como se fosse o equivalente do nosso \u201c\u00ba\u201d e \u201c\u00aa\u201d em portugu\u00eas (primeiro, segunda, terceira).
